“They think that I’ve got no respect, but, everything means less than zero.”–Elvis Costello

About the Author June 29, 2007

Small town epidemiologist trying to make a difference in the world.

Best of my life so far: time spent in Public Health graduate studies while moonlighting as a medical microbiologist in Houston. Currently, I attend medical school five miles from the Jaurez  drug war and spend my *vacations* practicing epidemiology in Mexico and Latin America.

More Background and disclosure:

  • Social Justice-oriented Christian
  • Informal student of comparative religion
  • Art History B.A. Baylor 2004 (emphasis French Impressionism)
  • Epidemiology M.S. University of Texas School of Public Health 2007 (Concentrations in Global Health and Infectious Disease).

In my spare time I read novels, cook, and learn new yoga moves from my cat.
